  • smoked salmon14 oz
  • potatoes36 oz
  • cucumber¾ piece
  • red onion1 piece
  • sour cream10 tbsp
  • fresh dill6 tbsp
  • lemon piece
  • white vinegar4 tbsp
  • butter4 tbsp
  • salt2 tsp
  • black pepper1 tsp

Method

  1. Slice onion paper thin and steep in the vinegar with a pinch of salt.

  2. Boil halved potatoes in well-salted water until tender, 18 minutes.

  3. Stir sour cream with lemon juice, half the dill, salt and pepper.

  4. Slice cucumber thin and toss with a spoonful of the onion liquid.

  5. Toss the hot drained potatoes with butter and the rest of the dill.

  6. Lay salmon over the warm potatoes, spoon cream on, top with onion.

Serving suggestion

Warm potatoes against cold salmon is the point — do not let them go cold.
