  • ground beef20 oz
  • potatoes36 oz
  • yellow onion piece
  • carrot2 piece
  • beef broth32 tbsp
  • all-purpose flour4 tbsp
  • butter4 tbsp
  • whole milk16 tbsp
  • fresh parsley8 sprig
  • salt2 tsp
  • black pepper1 tsp

Method

  1. Boil peeled, cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, 18 minutes.

  2. Brown beef hard in a dry pan without stirring, 6 minutes, until crusted.

  3. Add sliced onion and grated carrot, cook until the onion softens, 5 minutes.

  4. Stir flour through the pan, then pour in broth and simmer 6 minutes.

  5. Mash potatoes with warm milk and butter. Season until it tastes of something.

  6. Spoon gravy over the mash and finish with parsley.
