BBQ Meatloaf with Mash
A glazed meatloaf baked thin so it cooks in half the usual time, over buttery mash with blistered green beans.

- ground beef24 oz
- potatoes36 oz
- green beans10 oz
- carrot2 piece
- yellow onion1½ piece
- panko breadcrumbs12 tbsp
- egg2 piece
- bbq sauce8 tbsp
- worcestershire sauce4 tsp
- butter4 tbsp
- whole milk16 tbsp
- smoked paprika4 tsp
- olive oil2 tbsp
- salt2 tsp
- black pepper1 tsp

Method
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
5 min · bake
Grate the onion and carrot and squeeze out the excess liquid.
6 min · prep
Mix into the beef with panko, egg, worcestershire, paprika and salt.

Shape into a flat loaf on a sheet pan, no thicker than two fingers.
4 min · prep
Bake 25 minutes, then brush thickly with bbq sauce.
26 min · bake
Bake 12 minutes more until the glaze is sticky and dark.

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
18 min · boil
Blister the green beans in oil until they colour and soften.
6 min · saute
Mash the potatoes with warm milk and butter, then season hard.

Rest the loaf 5 minutes before slicing, or it falls apart.
