Greek Chicken Gyros with Fries

  • chicken thighs24 oz
  • flatbread4 piece
  • potatoes24 oz
  • cucumber piece
  • tomato2 piece
  • red onion piece
  • plain yogurt12 tbsp
  • garlic12 clove
  • lemon2 piece
  • dried oregano6 tsp
  • paprika4 tsp
  • fresh dill4 tbsp
  • olive oil5 tbsp
  • salt2 tsp

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 F.

  2. Cut the potatoes into thin fries and toss with oil and salt.

  3. Roast, turning once, until crisp at the edges.

  4. Toss the chicken with oregano, paprika, lemon, half the garlic and oil.

  5. Grate the cucumber and squeeze it properly dry.

  6. Stir it into the yogurt with the remaining garlic, dill and salt.

  7. Sear the chicken in a hot pan until charred and cooked through.
