- beef strips22 oz
- white rice2 cup
- black beans1½ can
- tomato2 piece
- yellow onion2 piece
- bell pepper2 piece
- garlic12 clove
- bay leaf1 piece
- ground cumin4 tsp
- smoked paprika2 tsp
- lime1¼ piece
- fresh cilantro12 sprig
- olive oil4 tbsp
- salt2 tsp

Method
Cook the rice according to package directions.
15 min · boil
Soften half the onion and garlic in oil until sweet.
5 min · saute
Add the beans with their liquid, bay leaf and cumin.
2 min · prep
Simmer until the beans thicken and go glossy.
15 min · simmer
Sear the beef in a very hot pan in one layer.
4 min · fry
Add the remaining garlic and the paprika and toss through.
2 min · saute
Chop the tomato, pepper and remaining onion into a rough salsa.
5 min · prep
Dress the salsa with lime, cilantro and salt.

Plate rice, beans and beef side by side with salsa on top.
