  • yellow onion2 piece
  • brioche bun4 piece
  • cucumber2 piece
  • red cabbage5 oz
  • white cabbage5 oz
  • gouda cheese4 oz
  • tomato paste4 tbsp
  • BBQ sauce8 tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce4 tsp
  • BBQ seasoning4 tsp
  • butter2 tbsp
  • olive oil4 tbsp
  • salt1 tsp
  • black pepper½ tsp

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.

  2. Brown beef and chopped onion with BBQ seasoning, salt and pepper.

  3. Add tomato paste, butter, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire and a splash of water.

  4. Simmer until the sauce thickens around the meat.

  5. Toast the halved buns cut-side up. Brioche burns fast — watch them.

  6. Toss both cabbages with oil, salt and pepper until slightly softened.

  7. Spoon beef onto the buns, add gouda and cucumber, then the lid.
